I'm still amazed when people act, or genuinely are, surprised that Facebook was/is set up to learn information to be used for marketing and advertising. DUH!!! What better way to track trends in the market place and learn opinions without even having to take surveys. Unless you're doing something really shady you don't have any real reasons to worry. If you were, you'd know better than to really discuss anything on Facebook. I highly doubt anybody plotting to attack some major target is using Facebook to communicate about plans. And, let's face it, if a service you like to use anyway can let you know about some product or service that you would want and use it's not a bad thing. Think about if you were just starting a business in America right now....wouldn't you want to reach potential customers via Facebook or Myspace?

Do you actually know how and why the American government is so in debt? Do you even know the real figure....hint, it’s WAAAAY more than what Obama says it is...if it were only the 13tril he claims we’d be ok. Do you know who was in office when things really started to go south for the American economy and our whole monetary system? (hint: he wasn’t a democrat and neither of us were alive yet unless you’re over 96) Do you think it’s democrats that have corrupted our healthcare system? Insurance system? Education? Big businesses? Credit? I think we both know who’s created the really big problems that we all suffer from.
I think you’re forgetting 2 main things here... 1) Barack Obama was not in office when all these problems were created and for a president who has only been on the job for 4 months, he is doing a good job (of course he could be doing things differently or better- things can ALWAYS be done better) 2) the president does not have the power or control that people think he does...our economy, healthcare and education are fucked because of a system that was created over decades by greedy and corrupt people who happen to mostly be conservative republicans. (That is the truth)
You’re one of the ‘smart people’ though so I’m sure you know everything and would do a much better job than the president is doing.

I can't even front on this song. This is certainly one of the best pop songs from the '80s and undeniably a great song for the ages. Plus, the man can play the bones! Other songs that remind me of this song and vice versa are Every Kind Of People by Robert Palmer (which I posted back in December) and End Of Innocence by Don Henly. The lyrics speak for themselves in all of these...jus' lissen.

Over the last few weeks I've added a MASSIVE amount of new music to my fairly large digital collection (over 10gb to the existing 35k songs) As I have time I'll be sharing some of these new gems with you and continue to share a little of my existing collection. I don't know who the sicko is that's about to eat this but it's really disturbing. That thing should be gutted, cleaned & cooked first! And at least put some mustard on it! What? Dogs are delicious! Many cultures, including the Chinese, have been eating dogs forever. It's not like eating your pet or 'best friend'! (it's like eating your neighbors' ;) Oh, like I'm the only person who's ever eaten their neighbors' dog!? Well, whatever...we're in a recession and times are hard. Think of all the gas & money I save by hunting local domesticated wildlife instead of driving to the food store.
